Non-Profit Management  Intern


  • To further the mission of the Boulder Asian Pacific Alliance (BAPA) by assisting with development activities, fundraising, and event production.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Shadowing Treasurer
    • Assist with grant writing support
    • Learn perimeters of federal and state tax filing
    • Develop and manage fundraising incentive programs
  • Shadowing Vice President of Events
    • Assist with the marketing and logistics for cultural events, including, but not limited to, the Boulder Asian Festival (20,000-25,000 attendees), Chinese New Year Celebration, and Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration
  • Shadowing Vice President of Membership
    • Assist recruiting groups and individuals for events, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising
  • Shadowing President    
    • Help develop social media marketing production calendar

General Requirements

  • Self-motivated, team player with the ability to meet deadlines, remain flexible, and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills, keen
  • Experience working with social media platforms
  • Must be currently working towards a degree at a university, college, or trade school in a related field
  • This internship is open to all majors; emphasis on Business Management, Non-Profit Management, Business Administration, Event Planning, Operations Management, and Project Management

Work Schedule/Time Commitment:

  • Flexible schedule, approximately 20-30 hours/month, with exact days and times to be determined according to your school schedule. This is a fall and spring semester internship. Most duties may be done from home, but monthly meetings with BAPA Executive Board will be required.


  • This internship is does not have a stipend or academic credit, but will include over 200 internship hours and potential to carry into the summer.
